After months of rainy weather in Southern California, we decided to check out the poppy superbloom before the crowds really started showing up and before Papa had to go back to New York. Well, we failed on our first attempt because the traffic was so bad, but we drove back on a weekday morning to get ahead of the crowds. We decided to check out Walker Canyon, which is where we went two years ago. You might have seen Walker Canyon in the news recently when the local government had to close it because of the volume of tourists going to see the flowers.
It was beautiful, the pictures can’t even do it justice. Sometimes you just need a quick walk in the wildflowers on a Tuesday morning.
